884/886 How to Remove the Front Wheel

Follow the steps below to remove the front wheel on your 884-886.

     Tools Needed: 6mm allen wrench

     Compatible Models: Flyer™ 884 and Flyer™ 886


Getting the Bike Ready for Servicing

  1. Remove the battery.

  2. Turn the bike on, the screen should initially turn on, then quickly fade away.

Removing the Front Wheel

Note: Touching the brake rotor or pads with bare skin can result in natural oils transferring to components which can result in reduced braking performance or noise during operation

  1. Prop the bike up on it's kickstand
  2. Use a 6mm allen wrench to loosen the through-axle by turning counter-clockwise.

  3. Pull the axle free.

  4. Lift the front end of the bike by the handlebar and carefully remove the wheel from the fork.

Installing the Front Wheel

  1. Reinstall the wheel. Ensure the wheel is centered on the fork, and the brake rotor is centered in the caliper assembly.

  2. Use one hand to push down on the handlebar and the other to install the through-axle by sliding it through the fork and front wheel hub. Tighten the front thru-axle to 6-8Nm using a 6mm allen wrench.

Preparing to Ride
  1. Reinstall the battery.

  2. Fully test the bike’s function prior to riding.
