Getting the Bike Ready for Servicing
- Remove the battery.

- Turn the bike on, the screen should initially turn on, then quickly fade away.

Removing the Front Tire
- Find the quick release lever near the front wheel.
- Open the lever fully. It should be parallel to the ground.
- While holding the lever, turn the thumbnut (opposite the lever on the other side of the front wheel) 2-3 turns until the wheel can be removed from the front fork of the bike.
- Remove the front wheel by lifting the bike up and off the wheel.
- Note: After the front wheel is removed, you can put the bike down so that it rests on the rear wheel and front fork. Be sure to rest the front fork on a smooth surface.

- Perform desired maintenance, whether that be replacing the wheel, changing the tube, etc.
Installing Front Tire
- Make sure the tire you are installing has a skewer in the axle.
- If the tire does not have a skewer, then put a cone spring on a skewer (with the wide, open end of the cone closer to the skewer head).

- Insert the skewer through the wheel hub from the brake rotor side, and then install another cone spring on the other end of the skewer. The second cone spring should be installed with the wide, open end of the cone AWAY from the wheel.
- The quick release lever should be on the same side as the brake rotor.

- The quick release lever should be on the same side as the brake rotor.
- After installing the skewer, turn the thumb nut a few times. Do not completely tighten the thumb nut; be sure to leave enough room to reinstall the wheel on the front fork.
- Check that the lever on the wheel is open.
- Lift the bike and lower the front fork onto the wheel.
Note: When installing the wheel, the axle should go inside the dropouts of the front fork. The brake rotor should insert itself into the brake caliper between the brake pads. - Ensure that the wheel is centered in the fork dropouts. Press down on the fork to ensure the axle is fully seated.
- Hold the quick release lever so it is open and parallel with the ground. Tighten the opposite thumbnut completely.
- Rotate the quick release lever to secure the wheel to the fork. It should require significant force to close the quick release lever. The lever will leave an imprint in your hand if properly tightened.
- Note: While closing the quick release lever, do not touch the brake rotor.
